Before GGN, the Tempest team brought to market the Xfire esports tournament platform. Xfire was famous for its chat technology but wanted to expand its eSports footprint. It contained many of the core functionalities utilized in the GGN platform, such as real-time progress notifications, and advanced user management systems.
